The Nurse's Affinity for Travel,Tourism & Nature's Peace. The story behind Affinity Travel & Tours · Est. 2024

My Journey Through Travel

Traveling has been a vibrant thread woven into the fabric of my life for as long as I can remember. From the sun-kissed shores of South Africa to the breathtaking landscapes of the SADC countries and beyond, each destination has offered me a treasure trove of experiences. Every journey has unveiled something extraordinary: a unique landscape that took my breath away, a distinct culture that enriched my understanding, and a fresh perspective that reshaped my worldview. What began as a personal passion has blossomed into a profound desire to share these remarkable experiences with others.

The Birth of Affinity Travel & Tours

In 2024, I took a bold step forward by founding Affinity Travel & Tours. This venture felt like the natural evolution of my journey, a beautiful fusion of my two greatest passions: the joy of travel and the deep-seated commitment to caring for people. With Affinity, I aim to create not just trips, but unforgettable experiences that connect travelers with the heart and soul of each destination.

A nurse's approach to travel planning

By training, I am a Registered Nurse. And while that might seem like an unusual background for a travel business, it has shaped everything about how I work. Nursing teaches you to be patient, observant, and thorough. It teaches you to treat every person as an individual with their own needs, not as a number to be processed.

Those same principles apply directly to travel planning. Every traveler I work with gets a personalized experience. I take time to understand what matters to them, what concerns they have, and what kind of trip will genuinely suit them, not just a template itinerary.

"Humanity will always be my top priority. Every traveler deserves to feel valued, respected, and comfortable throughout their journey, not just at the destination."

Making travel accessible for everyone

One of the things that drives this business is a genuine commitment to inclusive travel. People with disabilities or medical conditions often find themselves overlooked by mainstream travel services, or they simply feel unsure whether travel is even a realistic option for them.

My nursing background means I understand those concerns. I know what it means to need a bit more support, and I know how to provide it. The goal is simple: everyone deserves the chance to explore, rest, and create memories, whatever their circumstances.

Compassion - Every traveler treated with genuine care and respect.

Safety - Careful planning so you can relax and enjoy the journey.

Tailored itineraries - Built around your interests, needs, and pace.

Real value - Quality experiences at a price that makes sense.

What keeps me going

The part of this work I enjoy most is putting together itineraries, finding the right mix of experiences, pacing things well, thinking about what will genuinely delight the people I'm planning for. It is satisfying work, and it never feels repetitive because every traveler brings something different to the table.

When a trip goes well, when travelers come back happy, relaxed, and already asking about the next one, that is what makes all the effort worthwhile. Positive feedback and kind reviews remind me that this is more than a business. It is work I genuinely enjoy, and a way to do something meaningful every day.

Affinity Travel & Tours is still growing, and there is plenty of road ahead. But the foundation is clear: great travel experiences, for every kind of traveler, delivered with care. Affinity Travel & Tours
